Posting your top quality content on Instagram only in hopes a feature?
Here’s a pro tip: Don’t.
Getting a feature is probably one of the most exciting things to happen to your Instagram, apart from getting verified of course. Although, if you think a feature on another (well known) account is going to add a flux of followers to your account, you’ve got a thing coming buddy.
It’s not necessary at all for you to gain a mad amount of followers or interaction for any of your posts. Yes, you will get some attention but it doesn’t have to be massive, or as you’d hoped, permanent. Instead, you should work on making your Instagram profile of such quality that each of your post is worth a feature on its own. Try to aim for quality content, whether it’s photography, travel, food, social media, fashion, beauty, etc.
By aiming to do that and even create informative content sometimes, you won’t have the need to be featured anywhere, and will grow your following organically. People will start to see your entire account instead of just one post that’s randomly been selected to be featured on another profile, hence increasing views, following and engagement organically.
Unless you use a bot, but that’s a post for next time!
“Did you see that video?!”
The minute you have people telling each other that, you’ve hit the jackpot and gone viral.
Recently a film student submitted an idea to Adidas for an advertisement which got rejected. This was a mistake, as the student released it online and it got a whooping 13 million views (and still counting!) Check it out here!
Can you remember the last time you sat glued to your television instead of your mobile/laptop?
When was the last time you actually waited for a tv show and caught it live on TV instead of waiting for it online?
Social media has not just taken over our minds but has basically consumed our lives too. The ease of access is astounding, whether it’s music, movies or even TV series. We almost have no reason to switch on the TV any more, because who’s going to sit through all the ads that we can’t skip?
The minute someone on this side of the globe drifts off to sleep holding their phone, someone else on the other end of the world is waking up and checking their phones. People are online literally all the time.
You’ll find a lot of brands that are online in today’s day and age. And why not? They would massively be missing out if they hadn’t been. What a lot of brands still unfortunately fail to realize is the importance of online presence.
What is Prime?
Prime for Instagram is an app (available for iOS & Android) that allows users to explore the best times to post on their Instagram account. Just as the name suggests, this app provides you with the ideal time to post on your account. It not only gives you the percentage of engagement by comparing stats, but also the times when engagement rates are likely to spike as per your account.
Imagine if you could provide 10 times the information in one post instead of clogging up peoples feeds with back to back posts about the same topic. At first I wasn't very excited about it but after seeing the Instagram community get creative with it I've changed my mind.
